When Music Artists Retire...

I think they should release their concert versions of their songs. I love listening to all the nuances, and even sometimes think that they should be the originals. I also think that before they retire, it is great to hear studio versions and rough drafts of songs. One of my favorites is Nirvana's Heart Shaped Box band demo. If only they had kept that guitar solo in. Another type of version that i like are the demos for the artists. It's cool to hear what it started out as compared to what it had become. In this demo verison by Ryan Tedder for Halo by Beyonce, it is really cool to hear it in this way.

Perhaps artists could release a last CD/album/playlist of their concert versions, and another of all relevant versions of songs from demo or draft to final in their release order. It would show how the band progressed over time.
