Not Just Another 5k: A Zombie Run

The zombie walk has been around for a long time and is so much fun.
I always wanted to participate in a zombie run back when I was running cross country, but there weren't any around here.
Basically, a zombie run is an off road running race course with some obstacles like mud, maybe a wall with ropes, etc., anything really to get you muddy, dirty, and doing the unexpected all while running from zombies. Everyone wears those tag football belts and when a crowd of zombies sets out after you, you have to outrun them. If you get caught, I don't know if anything special happens, but it could, like a stamp or a tattoo at the end of the race if you finish with/without all your flags on your belt (or whatever they're called). I bet the T-shirt is funny though, something about I survived the zombie race of 2026 or something. Having a good sports photographer there to catch funny moments and people running for their lives would be fun, maybe a print on demand station like after a ride or be able to have it printed on the tshirt. The zombies are groups of volunteers that are willing to get dressed up and chase prey for a few hundred yards at the time throughout the course. Then on their way back, maybe switch targets a few times and reset to the start for another group, or switch off with group 2 while they get water or take a break. In a three mile course, I would want 3 chases, and a few just wandering about that you have to dodge.
There are a good number of running races throughout the town and year in Fayetteville, and combined with the enthusiasm for zombies, I think a zombie run would do well here and appeal to the more athletic side of fans, particularly with a military base in the vicinity.
This could definitely use better news coverage though, because I can't just google any images of past zombie walks, and that isn't really great since Fayetteville doesn't have an awesome online presence.
Would You Participate?
No and I don't support it.
No, but it sounds like fun.
Yes as a runner!
Yes as a zombie!
