Possible Technology Improvements

Add solar panels to phones, laptops, tablets so that they can be self-charging.

Make the outer casing a screen so that the customizations are endless (great for other things like smart fridges and cars as well). 

No more bloatware.

Waterproof phones.

Underwater Bluetooth Headphones: Use electromagnetic waves or long wave radio waves. Phones that can transmit electromagnetic waves or long wave radio waves; boat mode, like airplane mode.

Electric shirts but the parts are washable with the shirt (comes after waterproof phones and cables) More fabric-like electronics instead of just putting a screen in a shirt (less heavy, LED so small battery pack). Great for concerts for electronic music artists I'd bet.

Mapping the sea floor with pictures and not just sonar like Google Maps.
